Nugget necklace – Handmade pendant necklace made from Recycled silver, in Devon UK, on silver ball chain.

My nugget necklace is made from my scraps – it’s a very satisfying process of melting all the little leftover ‘snippets’ together into a ball , then hanmmering and bashing…. and hammering… and bashing… then hammering a lot more! Then a bit of filing, and a bit more hammering and tapping until I’m completely happy with the way it feels. I have a variety of different shaped hammered which create different ‘dimples’ and textures.
The using of the left overs means that there is very little waste silver which of course is great for the planet. So it is in fact, double recycled, as I use only recycled silver in the first place.
I like to imagine that these nuggets have been buried by pirates on a treasure island and then washed up on a shore to be found as I’m walking along in the early morning sunshine….

Simple, understated and easy to wear, can be worn alone or mix and matched with your other favourite jewellery.
