Hares on Driftwood Wall Hanging

This lovely leaping hares with flowers wall hanging is made from wire, hand painted gold paper and driftwood.

Each hare is intricately made by hand from black enamelled copper wire. The flowers are made from non tarnish copper wire and paper which I paint in many layers of gold acrylic paint to give it a wonderful sheen.

I collect the driftwood from my local beaches in South Devon, scrub it clean and sand it down.

I protect the wire and paper with a fine protective wax developed by the British Museum to protect artefacts.

This would make a special jkyful gift for anybody.

This is a unique one off piece of art that hangs simply from a small nail or pin in the wall.

Dimensions are approximately 15.5 cm high x 32 cm wide.
